Dragon Ball Super Card Game: Fusion World is a beginner friendly, fast paces version of the classic dragon ball super card game. It features streamlined rules and a new card design to make it more accessible to new players, while also offering a new, self-contained format for veterans.
The game is available in two formats that share a common card pool and set of rules:
- Physical: A traditional tabletop trading card game.
- Digital: A free-to-play digital version for PC
Core differences from the classic game
- Faster gameplay: The average game length is around 10–15 minutes.
- Streamlined mechanics: The rules are simpler and more intuitive.
- Redesigned card layout: The visuals are clearer and more readable.
- No compatibility with older sets: Fusion World cards cannot be used in the original Dragon Ball Super Card Game format, and vice versa.
Core mechanics
- Simplified energy system: You can place any card from your hand face down into your energy area to use as a resource, with no colour-matching restrictions.
- Leader cards: A Leader is the centrepiece of your deck, and each has unique abilities and an "Awakening" condition. When you meet the condition, you can flip your Leader over to its more powerful form.
- Combo mechanics: The system for executing combos has been simplified, making it easier for new players to grasp.
